We want to get more local businesses talking to each other on social media. So we’ve launched a leader board of businesses in Stockport and the surrounding area of their social media efforts. You’ll be able to see how you fare compared to your neighbours, suppliers, clients and competitors! Nothing gets people talking like a bit a friendly competition so if you want your business included, sign up below. And if you don’t want to be on the list anymore, that’s fine too, just let us know!
Your ranking is based on your Klout score (a measure of your influence on social media), and we update our ranking weekly – it’s all independently calculated, so there’s no point trying to bribe us to get ahead!
Our listing is open to businesses of all sizes, whether you’re a sole trader or a multi-national corporation. The only stipulation is that your social media is managed from within Stockport and surrounding area – because we have to draw a line somewhere, that’s the following postcode areas: SK1-23, M11-23, M31-34 M41, M50, M90, WA14-16, OL5-7.
If your business has multiple social media profiles on each network (for example, different accounts for different branches), we’ll only allow one listing per company so that no single business can crowd out the top.
